Talkback: Snowdrops

doesn't it lift your heart to see these pretty little flowers they are so welcome in the dreary days after Christmas, wish I could have the complete range but then that would leave the garden empty the rest of the year.

Is the Kiwi any good in a clay soil if you add mulch to it to lighten the soil or in a pot in the green house.

Talkback: Azalea and campanula pot display

I love Azaleas and this combination is great but watch out for the campanulas they seed all over the place even in my clay soil, do look lovely though and you've got them forever so thats a bonus.

Talkback: Ants

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:27
those red ants are evil , when they get you, they really sting. I have colonies all over my garden, black near the house and red from half way down the garden, I don't know why they like my heavy clay so much, they must have to work even harder, wish they would do more sifting for me and save me the trouble. on the whole I don't mind them but in the pots they are a bit of a problem.

Talkback: How to feed your plants

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:27
It is good to be reminded to feed the plants in the garden especially the ones in pots as they can't fend for themselves, when we've trapped them in pots.

Talkback: How to make a pebble mosaic path

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:27
It's a lovely idea, but only as a thing of beauty ,I think I would probably break my ankle if I stepped onto this uneven service, also would look nice embedded into a wall.

Talkback: Identifying bumblebees

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 15:27
I love this feature only hope our bee population doesn't deminnish any further, I saw a programme that blames nicotine substances in products that people use on the gardens and fields, it stands to reason if nicotine kills people, what chance does a BEE stand. hope people work this one out before it is too late
