Good cucumbers varieties for gherkins

Posted: 02/09/2015 at 09:00

I've grown outdoor gherkins and they were prolific, far more than we wanted to pickle. I find indoor cucumbers don't preserve like gherkins.

Good morning

I've read back as I was AWOL yesterday and there is far too much to comment on everything.

Hope the walking wounded get well soon or receive some treatment. Hugs to the sad peeps.

Chicky well done on staying calm.

Lily enjoy the peace and quiet. I'm venturing to the shops today as the little darlings will be back at school.

Enjoy the gardens Fidget.

Hosta if you get some pitta bread and some chilli sauce you can make chicken kebab as I know how much you love them  We call donner kebab donkey kebab

Runny I've nearly finished knitting your balaclava in case the home hair cut didn't turn out too well

Enjoy your day Dove, good news about your car repair.

Keep smiling

I have planted and netted well grown on and established PSB, Chard & Spinach..bit late with them this year  Had fun watching cabbage whites trying to get at them

Done some dead heading and removed some smaller apples from the tree so hopefully we'll get some good sized ones..June drop hasn't happened here
