I forgot to say we also have Dunnocks but after Stumpy my bald bottomed Black bird who visited us for 3 yrs and would take raisins from my palm it has to be Blackbirds for me  Her tail feathers did grow back after arriving with just bone and a sore bottom  she had her own bath on the patio and if I was late with her grub she'd come to the front window and complain.

Pansyface

I think from the birds I have in my garden I would also say Blackbird such characters However I am very fond of the little Wrens that bob about, also like the Robins, Spuggies and all the Finches ..not keen on the blinking Pheasants that visit and as for the Ducks  We hear owls but don't see them.

Lyn I would have been out of fight a long time ago. Just do what you physically can without hurting yourself and have your dad sit and keep mum company for some of the time.  xx

HELLO FORKERS!

Good morning everyone 6C and dull here.

My delphiniums are germinating

Sunflower Lady sow and germinate Dave tomatoes in the same way as others. When they mature don't remove side shoots. Plant them in a good sized pot / bucket. They don't grow very tall but need some support as the weight of the tomatoes can snap the plant, I use canes, bamboo sticks about a foot high. I will be sowing mine this week. Any questions give me a shout.

Fidget I hope they apologise for the upset that letter has caused

Pauline hugs. Please don't feel ashamed I sat by my Dad's hospital bedside 5 days and nights  ( in shifts) they had given him 24hrs. I willed him to die and when he did I felt relief for him, and us.
