What is a Mecanopsis and why is everyone talking about them?  Are they the must have plant now that my hellebores have nearly finished?

I could be naughty and say yes you've gotta have at least 6. I'm talking about the blue Himalayan Meconopsis that Pdoc can grow in his garden that I've killed twice and can't even germinate the seeds.

OL I'm sure yours will be fine if others grow the plants you named. Mind you the guy who "loved" there before you might have had weird garden activities

I have gerbera overwintering in GH and doesn't look like mine. Like Bob, I'm still thinking veg, I know it's obviously not rocket but that has hairy stems when older. Bet it's edible, post me a piece Nut and I"ll have OH taste it

Dove it's all coming together brilliantly.

Chicky, thanks.

OL my Pieris is about 9yrs old. Trust you have it in slightly acid soil. Mine is neutral so we dug that bed out and filled it with eric' compost and top up each year. Mum grows her's in neutral but always put leaf mould around them throughout the year. Works for both of us.
