Copper tape

Posted: 02/05/2016 at 15:06

We also have some old copper pipe around the one Hosta that I have in the soil. Tape around those in pots. If anyone has a B&M shop nearby they have it at a good price but I've forgotten the cost as I stock piled it last year.

Anyone brave enough to plant out runner beans yet?

Poor Wonky  Naughty Dove  I had to read back. For a few seconds I thought Pdoc had eaten smoked cat   Glad you enjoyed your break Pdoc.

Grotty weather here typical Bank hols I feel sad for peeps who wanted to get out and about on their day off.

Not much happening here, some plants have gone into GH to toughen up in between showers  I took my car for a run down the dual carriage way as it hasn't been out for a while and the poor thing got wet !!

Hope the Gerbils aren't lonely if Dove & Co are out for the day

I planted early last year they germinated on 24 /4 in a cold GH in S. Yorks and planted out on 15/5  thankfully we didn't have any more frosts, they were very slow to establish and I didn't get beans any earlier. I sowed mine last week in GH and as yet no sign of them.

Everlasting Spinach....( And Chard )

Maggie I have frozen spinach, kale & chard. Sweated them down in a large frying pan, drained in a colander and squeezed them until I could not get any more liquid from them. Rolled into balls ( like shop bought frozen spinach) and froze each ball individually on a baking sheet, then bagged them up

People who wander around the Supermarket car park in oblivion and look shocked/ annoyed when they have to move for a car  It is a car park not a country park

B3 there were a lot of words that I only dared use at school

Kale & Beans

Is there any reason why you shouldn't plant them near to each other?
