Lily it's spirea Goldflame. Must admit not one I really like, it was a self set I was given and it got planted to do a job. In time I will replace with something I like better. If you were nearer you could have it

Thanks Wintersong, all but two are first earlies, others 2nds, will be enough to feed two ( Dove make a note!)     for the year, still have one helping of Pentland Javelin in a sack in the garage. I'm a devil for saving them to have with something "nice" and forgetting them. Must make myself a note.

Pruning Hebes

I have one in a big pot that grew down and into soil. One I inherited so no idea what it is, it's never flowered but last year I cut a good amount from it and moved it. I was amazed at the sap that leaked out, I expected it to die. Some parts looked a bit black.

It hasn't died, it has regrown leaves but hasn't flowered but not knowing much about them I don't know when it should flower. Just nice foliage sitting in a pot in an  "awkward " place. It has had a treat of FBB and I'll see what happens. Don't want it in the graden & don't want to re-pot, so we'll see.

Basically no help to you at all Artjak

Gardening with the enemy

Glad to hear that artjak I remember your problems last year.

Outdoor girl, thankfully I don't have experience of rabbits, saw one once and OH put wood below fence posts for a while, didn't see it again, so we removed it for hedgehog access. Think it might have been an escaped pet.

By no means an enemy but the birds are currently pecking in my pots, not doing any harm but chucking compost all over  Maybe they don't like the food I provide. Wonder if I can train them to pull weeds out and not lily bulblets
