Well done on getting jobs done Percy.  Don't agree about difference between men & women if youngster was mine & I am a female I'd say have a walk in bare feet on  patio, then up and down garden watering plants and then soak them in a bowl of salt water.  If they still hurt tough, won't be as bad on tomorrow

JJ7 fork them out stick in a pot and you might decide to have them elsewhere in your garden  or just grow them in a pot, nice bit of spring colour.

Vegetable seed longevity germination past use by date

Only thing I know that won't germinate after use by date is parsnip. I often sow stuff 2 / 3 yrs past date & more, just sow extra to compensate for what doesn't germinate. Nothing lost  Cumbers & courgettes I don't usually have any left so can't advise on those. Toms I've grown 5 years out of date.

Gold medal here for 15 Anemone de Caen

 Gold for last years honesty, compaired to this years

 Silver for the Gerbera that I so proudly overwintered and have top dressed and fed.

 Bronze for my Meconopsis bought this year and last years's well no medal suitable

 Off to tend my veg they like me more
