I have got pots and trays of varying shapes and sizes ready to use. Just need to start slowly adding things to the greenhouse. It is a walk in one, so good amount of space. Recommendations for what to sow would be gratefully appreciated. I really would like to grow tomatos in the greenhouse, but is it the wrong time of year to sow these into gro bags?

I've just re homed a family of hedgehogs. They were so young i couldn't put them back into the wild. one was only three and a half oz! I contacted the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and they gave be brilliant information about caring for the hoglets and where and where not to release them. Unfortunately I have a busy road next to my garden, but thankfully have not found any wee bodies! Due to the hot weather some hoglets had wandered across the garden, unfortunately in the direction of the road! so I had to do something! Glad I did, I feel really privileged to have held one of these creatures and they are now out on hedgehog friendly  land!

Thanks for that, I'm just finding my way with things. It is really helpful finding out what others are doing.

I've just manage to acquire a plastic green house, free! It is a walk in one, with plenty of shelf space. The pegs that came with this are not great at all, so am devising other ways to secure it down. But what I am not sure about is the bottom of the plastic that touches the grass. Do I leave it so that air can get in, or tuck the pastic under the frame? I was thinking of putting black plastic down on the ground to stop the grass growing. Any advice about plastic greenhouses welcome - what grows well, what doesnt grow well. Would have loved a glass one, but the offer of a free one was too good to turn down and I couldn't afford glass. Have grown cucumbers and tomatos indoors, but kitchen window is now looking a bit crowded! Thanks for reading
