June in Your Garden!

My slugs & snails have been too busy eating my peas and beans to notice the potatoes.  I've just had my second meal containing Charlottes smothered in butter with black pepper.

We went to the Weald & Downland Museum today and they also are experiencing terrible probles with their bean and peas.  I don't feel so bad about it now.

The five day forecast is looking good for Tuesday.  I don't watch tennis but may have to make an exception looking for Geoff wearing Flo's hat.

I tried to reply earlier but gave up due to technical issues.

I am considering camping out in the veg patch.

I want some syrup sponge pudding!

What is it with the news reporters?  They latch on to something and worry at it like a terrier with a bone.  There is only so much mud I need to see on the TV.

I was looking at the latest batch of little baby french bean plants in my potting shed and could not bring myself to think about planting them outside.  It feels like bean cruelty when I know that they will get either eaten or dug up within minutes of being in the garden.

That comment was for Inka BTW.  The quote thingy isn't working.

Does anyone else have a lot of technical issues with this board?  I get them all the time and have to go out & come in again.

Slug heaven appears to be in my garden.   I am sowing more beans practically every week.  Yesterday I spotted a little bean plant about 1" high and by this morning it had been eaten.

Sitting in the conservatory watching sparrows flapping like mad and going nowhere.  It is sooooo windy.  This time yesterday evening I was sitting in the garden.

BTW - There will be one minute less of daylight tomorrow than there was today.

I think somebody has ideas above their station - peacocks eating all the basil???  Everything in my garden is getting eaten by slugs and snails.
