Hi Guys,

Just wondered whether any of you have grown 'Egyptian Onions'. Just because I thought I'd grow them this year for a change. So I would like some advice on how to grow them.

Kind Regards,

Runner & French Beans

Hi Guys,

Last year I collected seeds of my runnner/french bean plants. The seeds have been kept in a brown paper bag to keep the moisture out. I've grown beans for year's but is it to early to sow them yet? If so, when will I be able to sow them?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Lalat

Hi Guys,

Hope you all enjoyed the 2012 gardening year (bit to wet I think). Hopefully 2013 is better gardening year!

I collected the runners of my strawberry plants last Autumn and they are now in pots in my small coldframe, i'm aiming to put them in the ground on the next dry day. If I do so will they produce any fruit in the Spring/Summer?!

Any answer or suggestion will be much appreciated!

Daydream,

You need to take the flower heads off immediately because otherwise they won't form properley . They have flower heads have formed because the lovely hot weather and then the rainy weather (dramatic weatheer change), this make the plant think that it is ready to seed.

Hope this Helps,

Slugs and Snails

Dolly11,

I reccomend eggv shells they work a treat (fill a bucket up with egg shells when you havee eggs and use them as and when you need them). But as you find most of the time they get eaten attract birds etc. Beer traps work fine (you can them from pound shops) slugs pellets (you can them from pound shops). You will soon find your own stratergy but try out all the ones I have suggested.

Good Luck,

Lalat
