Camellia japonica 'Grand Slam' Camellia

Posted: 02 December 2011
Overall: I've got 2 camellia japonicas growing in my south-facing garden in Kent. They are both well established plants in excess of 10 years old. They both start flowering in late February but the flowers only last for about 3 weeks before going brown at the edges and dying off. The leaves are looking very healthy and they are both covered with lots of new shoots as I write. Why don't the flowers last longer? Is there something I should be doing to help them?
