Really lovely Mrs Garden, it is so good to take before and after pics so you can look back and appreciate all the hard work you have done.

Well done

I am just loving this series of GW.  It seems to be more laid back and easy going than it used to be.  Monty walking around with his cuppa and Nigel following behind - just like a real garden.  It used to be more formal.  Maybe it is just me, I don't know but I am loving it and last nights was one of the best,

Well done Monty and the team

I am in Suffolk and so far have not seen any ladybirds.  Lots of bees, butterflies, and other insects but no ladybirds.  Send a few my way please

Why won't my tomatoes ripen?

Never heard the banana trick before.  I will give it a go.  Do you just put it in the greenhouse by the tomatos and leave it there, and what about when it starts to go off, do you replace it or is that when it does its stuff.

Tomato plants in greenhouse

Have loads of fruit on my tomato plants in greenhouse.  Some of the fruit is being shaded by all the leaves.  Is it ok to cut the leaves off to allow light to get through.  This is my first year with green house and growing tomatoes so bit of a novice at the mo but am really pleased with the amount of tomotoes on the plants, can't wait for them to ripen

Rose help please

Yes I agree, roses like to be in the ground so that their roots can go deep.  Roses take a couple of years to settle in as well and once settled they will flower away quite happily.  Give it time.

Plant identification please

I think it is nepeta as well, it is pretty in hanging baskets etc.  Sold as an annual in my local nursery but it overwinters perfectly well here in my tubs etc.  I think it is a lovely little plant.

Your pets in the garden

I love Khan, we had a German Shepherd many years ago called Tara, she totally respected the garden.  She would play on the lawn with her ball and if went into the flowerbeds she would sit beside them and wait for someone to retrieve it for her.  I now have a young westie called Angus, he is not quite so good with the flowerbeds just yet, bit too young yet but we are getting there.  Pets are part of the garden it is their garden too -they just need to be trained to know their boundaries and gardeners and pets can live happily together.

I also have two cats aged 15 and 16, they are in charge as far as the dog is concerned.
