I have James Galway which is a David Austin shrub/climber.  It grows to about 5ft which they say is suitable as a small climber.  It has a wonderful scent and has never suffered with any disease.

Hi Blairs  I planted them a couple of inches deep - is that deep enough or too deep?  I have been keeping them just damp and yes the tubers are solid.

My dahlia tubers are not doing anything

I overwintered my dahlia tubers in the garage - I planted them in compost around mid March (same time as Monty Don).  On GW last week he took cuttings from his ones but mine have not done anything at all.  Nothing is coming through at all

Does anyone know what could be the problem and any tips on what to do next ?

Morrisons Tulips

Posted: 02/05/2013 at 12:18

I bought packs of tulips from Morrisons last autumn for about a £1 for a  pack of 10.  Was not sure what to expect when they bloomed.  I can say they are absolutely beautiful.  I bought a cream with pale green edge and a dark mauve and they are together in a pot and look stunning

Would recommend them and will be stocking up on more this year.  Well done Morrisons, a real bargain.

I have a beautiful dusky pink one called Josephine. It has double flowers and is beautiful.  Flowers around May June time and again around September.  One of my favourites.
