Hi

Can anyone offer some advice on dealing with a grass problem area in my daughters garden? She has a small grassy area which has a large tree overshadowing it and probably takes all the goodness out of the ground. The tree is in a neighbours garden 2 doors away.I thought of turf but she said it was expensive.Grass seed is cheaper but she has an inquisitive cat and a small boy of 11months.

We thought of artificial but is that dear?

Any good cheap ideas guys?

Hi

Has anybody any ideas that I could use old guttering for?

I thought perhaps using them in rows against a wall with Strawberries growing out of them.

Any ideas I woyuld be grateful because it just seems a waste to chuck them away.

Thanks

I think that we have a weeping willow plant  and it does not seem to grow higher but instead it grows outward. It seems to have died a little but looks shabby. Are we doing anything wrong or what should we do with  it?

It does come out in spring through summer but just seems to have long branches underneath but not much to look at.

Help!!!

But surely with all our rain they will rot with the ground being soaked.

All I cover them with is a fleecy fabric.

I thought they had to start shooting first before the covers come off

Hi

Can anyone tell me do I water these or just let them grow normally under cover to prevent winter frosts? I have put them under cover and they are growing like the other onions but apparently they do not need watering until spring. Is this correct?
