Vegetable Grow Pots

F1 means that the seeds have been bred for uniformity etc. and that is why they cost more.If you wanted to save your own seeds from F1's they wouldn't grow true to form.

You could start your courgettes off in your greenhouse - sow the seeds 4 -5 weeks before the last frost and pot them on if needs be and you will have good sized plants to plant in the garden.

Tomatoes that did well for me last year included Marinda,a large beefy type,Katiebell ,a small yellow  plum ,Luciebell,a small red plum - I got these from seeds of distinction.Simpsons seeds have a good range of tomato seeds,too. I also grow

Sungold,Sun Cherry Premium,Old Ivory Egg ,Ferline and Shirley.

Hello spottedray  Well it works for me - I have been growing my tomatoes like that for a few years now - I have found it is better to grow only 2 plants per grobag

I hope you have a really good veggie year Tracey  I don't grow the courgettes in the greenhouse by the way.

I grow my Peppers,Chillies,Aubergines and lots of different Basils on the staging Tracey This year I am going to try Okra ,too

I use them for my cucumbers but for my tomatoes I use flower buckets on top of the grobags.

Madeleine - I grow Marketmore and a really good variety called La Diva outside

I also grow tomatoes,cucumbers,peppers and chillies in the same greenhouse

I have electricity in my greenhouse and we had it installed by a qualified electrician.

I am really disappointed -the episode our garden is in has been moved to January 13 th because of  programme about Nelson Mandela is now on instead.
