Good evening everyone
I like it on here so won't be going anywhere else -I thought it a bit odd starting another thread.
Barry helped me sort out greenhouse no.3 today so I can carry on sorting my bigger plants out. 3pots of Osteospermums survived in the cold greenhouse - they looked a bit ropey but after I cleaned them up and trimmed them back they look o.k. I will give them a feed tomorrow. I have been in the greenhouses for most of the day -it feels good to get so much done
Becks or Bunny - do you have any spare dinner please - don't feel like cooking!

Bunny - quite a few trees in Sainsburys car park are completely wrapped up in green netting - looks very odd!
The building is going to be extended soon and I think parts of the car park will be changing, too - so it wouldn't surprise me to see the trees being dug up sometime soon

Good afternoon all

Lottie - funny you should mention the trees - I asked the girl who works in the clothing dept. about them this morning and she said it was to stop the birds nesting in them!! I thought it would be because they will be digging them up at some point.

I would love to do that Liz - sounds lovely -)
I know it isn't the same but I have been to a couple of singalong evenings at the theatre -the Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music
There is a herb nursery in Cornwall that we visited a few years ago with the naughtiest statues in the garden that I have ever seen -much too naughty to put pics on here - when I saw them I blushed!!!

I had problems with vernons last year when the Amethyst trailing geraniums I ordered turned out to be bright pink and striped! I complained and was sent another batch which also had 2 plants of the wrong colour. They are being replaced in the Spring for me. I also bought a collection of 4 Dianthus which were named varieties and a little bit on the expensive side and after a few days one of the plants died .when I phoned to tell them I was told the variety wasn't in stock any more and would I like to choose something else so I chose a Josephine clematis which when it flowered wasn't - it is also being replaced in the Spring. All complaints have been dealt with promptly with no quibbles and the plants supplied have been of good quality so I think on balance they are a good company to buy from
