Lottie - there was a reasonable selection just not the ones we wanted so I was glad we ordered ours from Charlton Park .The potatoes from Longacres and Charlton Park all had a Taylor's label. They have lots of 10's of unusual varieties.there is a wonderful selection of Dahlias!

Morning it is a beautiful day here - cold but the sun is shining!
I have done my big shop already - had to walk today as my Sister has an awful cold and cough and is staying in the warm - best place when you feel poorly.
I will probably do a bit more in the greenhouse later

Good Morning  I have just read the last couple of pages and I agree with Lottie

I did have a little spending spree at the G/C - they had loose dahlias for 99p so bought a couple of those then some beautiful ones in bags, some bressera, begonias and a colocasia. Then I bought 6 x 69p small upright fuchsia plants to grow on for my baskets - I will be able to use the pinchings as cuttings  I was pleased I ordered my potatoes online  as I wouldn't have been able to buy the varieties we wanted from the G/C

Also bought 2 bags of compost so I know where I will be going this morning

The plasterer came yesterday and did the new shower room so that is progress

Have a lovely day everyone

I have been to Longacres since the revamp Lottie I can remember the flower dept. when it was just a few buckets of flowers
Sod's law that we bought new dahlias last year and thought it would be best to dig them up and overwinter them and have lost them when other years we have left them in the ground and they have survived-
I don't think I am an expert at anything - I just love my plants and what I do and just grow everything to the best of my ability
The potatoes arrived this morning - they haven't charged us for the Picasso as they say they are not up to standard but they sent them any way - there are a few iffy ones but still plenty to grow
I have received brilliant customer service in all my dealings with Charlton Park Garden Centre where I bought the potatoes I will give them my custom in future

I am really sorry Bunny but that is an  impossible question for me to answer - there are so many plants I can't live without
