Talkback: Tomatoes, aubergines and peppers

I had 3 grafted aubergines in the greenhouse and they were brilliant but the ones grown from seed were rubbish

Peppers were rubbish ,chillies o.k and tomatoes had a much smaller crop than usual

I grew 1 grafted tomato plant but can't say it was any better than the ones I grew from seed

My new washing machine is supposed to be delivered between 7.30am and 8.30am this morning

I have finished my online Christmas shopping - just got to get the pressies wrapped now

Good Morning Everyone

I will have to have a proper catch up later - so much to read

Pleased you are back to normal Jean Muffin the Mule is my earliest memory of childrens T.V

I used to love watching Trumpton and Camberwick Green when the boys were small- Pugh,Pugh,Barney Mcgrew,Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub

Also The Magic Roundabout and The Wombles

I have done some more Christmas shopping - with my knees I can't trail round the shops now Geoff - much easier online

Flippin' washing machine has gone wrong- I will have to find someone to take a look at it - hope I don't have to buy a new one

I had to go for a BP check yesterday - it was up  170/80. This morning it is 157/84 - I have to go back to  have it checked again in a months time .

evergreen and fuchsia cutting

They say that Lady Boothby is a climbing Fuchsia - if you would like it to grow very tall you could just tie it to a cane . If it was mine I would tie it to a cane and just pinch the top out- the side shoots should then be stronger and you will have more foliage to take cuttings from  Try not to overwater it - just keep it ticking over

best annuals for shade / partial shade

Fuchsia -  trailing Puts Folly is brilliant for colour all summer long  I took the cuttings for these baskets at the end of February and once they started flowering they didn't stop  I hope you like Fuchsias
