Thanks Ladygardener

Kate I did keep the Perlite moist and I know the cuttings will have to be potted on soon to keep them growing well - not a lot of goodness in Perlite !

Good Morning Everyone

Had a quick read through the messages but still can't keep up

I hope your new job goes well Kate

Scrummy Tarte Tatin

Good fence Dean

Have an easy day today Glyn

Glad you had a lovely evening with your family Jean

Jo - there is always so much going on in your house

Geoff - those pics

I had a phone call from Lily (7) and Tolly(5) at about 5pm last night - would we like to go and watch their fireworks - we only live just up the road so had an enjoyable hour with them  Lily gets quite tired due to her cerabral palsy as she uses a lot more energy just walking etc. and she had been promised a trip to the firework display in the village which wasn't due to start until about 7pm.She was very tired so Son and DIL decided it would be better to have a few in the garden so Lily could go to bed  at her normal time

Today I have my article to write for Garden News then I think it will be more knitting

Have a lovely day Everyone

What's for tea?

Sorry to hear of your cooker trouble Frank

In the past few years I have bought a cooker, freezer and fridge online with very good service from the companies I chose  The spaces I have for my fridge and my freezer are awkward sizes and I just couldn't face trailing round the shops

Pork chop, roasties, broccoli and roasted root veggies today with more date and apple cake and custard for pud  I will be using a homegrown sweet potato in with the veggies

I might pinch that recipe Geoff

We are having jacket potatoes, egg mayo and salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cue, avocado and beetroot) followed by homemade date and apple cake with custard

Hello Alan  - what about tradescantias -if they get straggly it is quite easy to just fill another pot with some cuttings

http://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=slv8-msgr&sz=all&va=tradescantia

Another plant would be Ficus pumila

Hello Alan - I found this  Scroll down to 8th line of plants

http://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=slv8-msgr&va=dracaena

Not massangeana but I still think it is a Dracaena

My first thought is that your plant is a Dracaena massangeana-- but I may be wrong
