If they are small plants I would overwinter them in the greehouse and plant them out in spring -perhaps pot them on a size if there are good roots

Shrub or tree? what will determine???

Posted: 19/10/2012 at 13:40

I would say if it is a single stem it will grow into a tree and if it has a few stems it will grow into a shrub

In my garden I have an Amelanchier tree and also an Amelanchier shrub

Choose whichever suits the purpose for your garden

Bulb Fennel

I grew some lovely Fennel bulbs this year. I braised some - it was lovely apart from it reminded me too much of the drink I have to have before my CT scans I am not in a hurry to eat it again
