Hello 4711 - Poached Egg plants (Limnanthes) would be good as would herbs like Lavender Oregano,Marjoram and Thyme when they flower Bees prefer single flowers to doubles.If you have a little bit of ground to spare you could grow Sunflowers and Cosmos which bees love

Helychryssum limelight - overwinter & cuttings

Hello Katemac - I take cuttings every year from my Helichrysum Limelight -now is a good time  Do you have a greenhouse ? If not I am sure they would be o.k on a windowsill.I have never tried to overwinter a big plant as I just don't have the room in my greenhouse.You could wrap the pot in some bubble wrap around the pot to keep the roots warm in really cold snaps and use fleece to cover the plant. I would still suggest you take some cuttings though

Hello Don - My Osteos are very weather dependant - the more sun they get the better- this year they haven't done so well - don't get disheartened

Hello Ingrid  I am just experimenting with Perlite - last year may have been a fluke

My trays aren't stacked - the photos may give this impression . I have shelves on 2 sides of the greenhouse and the cutting trays go here and on the staging
