Thymes,Oregano,Chives,Sages and Parsley would look great in a sink  You could try Sweet Basil but I always seem to do better with it in my greenhouse. There is  a Basil called 'African Blue' which would grow in your sink - it could be placed at the back with  other herbs to the front and sides. It would be best to use a free draining compost - maybe John Innes with some multipurpose and horticultural grit added.Others will give you some advice as well I am sure

Standard Fuscia problem

Posted: 07/07/2012 at 15:40

I think you may have rust on your Fuchsia - I would carefully pick off affected leaves and put them in the bin or burn them - don't compost them. A fungicide spray may help.

I grow standard Fuchsias but haven't experienced the bark splitting - I hope someone can help

Advice on repotting my tomato plants please.

I would suggest using grobag and then feeding your tomatoes regularly with tomato food - e.g Tomorite - when the first flowers have set and you can see baby tomatoes

I hope it didn't have a party in my greenhouse Gary

I asked Barry to pick the cucumber as I had noticed it was grazed when I was doing the watering - when he turned it over that is what he found

I enjoyed my dinner thanks!!!

Fork Handles

Lottie - My Son was going to put a few more posters around for me today - in Bisley and West End hopefully

Sainsburys don't have a noticeboard anymore  but they very kindly put one up in Homebase for me

I heard that the weather is going to stay like this for another 3 weeks at least so I will be doing a lot of praying for a dry day !

I am looking forward to meeting you and Yvieh if she comes

small tree suggestions please

Strange aubergine plant

Posted: 04/07/2012 at 19:41

Janet - I don't think the leaf in pic no.3 is an Aubergine leaf - sorry  The leaves in pic no.2 are different to each other so I reckon you have a weed and an Aubergine very close together
