naming plants

The first one is an Aeonium and the second one looks like a Potentilla  If your niece can spare one of the rosettes of the Aeonium you can put it into some compost and it will root

Fuchsia problem

I think a lot of plants came to a standstill with the awful weather we have had - another year your fuchsias will have romped away - don't feel bad  I hope they recover

May In Your Garden

Posted: 16/05/2012 at 09:08

I haven't had time to catch up with all the posts yet - too busy trying to catch up with all the jobs I need to do - this weather has put me so far behind

I am going to make up my two large baskets for the front garden today - usually they are done at the beginning of May

Have a good day everyone

Fuchsia problem

It doesn't sound good  Did you repot them into bigger pots? One thing I would do is take some healthy tops off the fuchsias and pop them into some compost to root in case your plants don't survive .Try easing off on the watering and put them somewhere bright and warm with space around them- only water again when the pots feel lighter.I do hope they pull back for you - they are both lovely Fuchsias - I think it is Celia Smedley ?

Fuchsia Thalia

Thalia fuchsias are lovely - it will be fine in the garden or a pot during the Summer but will need taking inside over Winter.Cuttings root easily  so you could take some as a backup for next year - hope this helps
