Thanks Jimmy. Agapanthus love my south facing garden and do well here. So I'm going to go for it with fingers crossed. I've not purchased much before online, always preferring to buy bigger from my excellent local garden centre. But they don't stock this variety. I would hope they will send up at least one flower next summer, but l am forever an optimist. What varieties do you grow?
Lovely rain in east Devon. Much needed actually been frosty cold then sunny or thick fog then cloudy for weeks now. Lovely photo Scroggin, pretty collie you have there. She reminds me of my long passed Grandfathers dog Pip.
It must have been annoying nurturing plants all season and the flowers turn out to be completely different to what you were expecting. Thanks for sharing pics of your agapanthus you are happy with from T&M. I'd not heard of Queen of the Ocean before, nice name and a great colour. I'm going to take a chance and order the Twister agapanthus from Van Meuwen. I have a lot of different agapanthus, from the deepest blue/black, to white, and one bi colour so I'm hoping I'll grow them on successfully. If they turn up rotten or don't thrive I will complain and get a refund, and hopefully they will be the variety l ordered, they are quite distinct being bi coloured .
The agapanthus Twister is 2 pots of 9cm plants for £9.98 , and until midnight tonight there is no P&P on any orders. It's the cheapest I've seen them online, all suppliers sell them in 9cm pots that stock this particular variety, just a lot dearer. Did Van Meuwen refund your money Aym for sending you the incorrect dahlia, were they quibble free?
I haven't bought them yet Aym. I was going to wait until l had some feedback from someone who'd used Van Meuwen. Good to know you were happy with yours. I've never seen the variety l want in a garden centre. Happy New Year Aym .
Hi all. Does anyone have a positive experience of purchasing Agapanthus plants from Van Meuwen? I'm after agapanthus Twister and spotted them here on offer. They are sold in 9cm pots so I'm not expecting flowers this year. I understand they are part of T and M, and l know people have had issues with their plant quality. I was just after any reassurance if anyone had a good experience, or the opposite. Many thanks and Happy New Year!

Sorry Bob, missed your post before l responded.
The Sarah Bernhardt root looks alright. The Monsieur Jules Elie at least has a couple of good eyes, but the poor old Duchess de Nemours looks disappointing in my opinion . I would expect the root to be showing its eyes clearly by now. I had a good close up look at the second Duchess photo and l am wondering if it does have a couple of developing eyes on the reddy coloured root. Hopefully someone with more experience than me will know more. I would be inclined to complain about the Duchess root and ask for a replacement.
