Hi some years ago  went walking n Manchester with my daughter and saw fab plant by a river ranging in different rates of growth.  I would never take a plant from the wild unless they were in abundance

I took a small seedling and wrapped n wet tissue brought it home to my garden in Wrexham.. the plant grew steadily but remained about a foot tall.

this year however with all the rain it is nearly six feet tall and so beautiful besides the pond.

1. does anyone know the name of this plant?

2. will it die now or come back.

3. will it seed?

4. can I grow new plants from seed or cuttings?

it looks like angelic in its stem formation and now with that they tend to last 2yrs.

Hi i have a large ornamental fish pond 1050gallons it has two waterfalls going into it.

i have goldfish, orfe carp and koi.

every winter the pond is crystal clear but, as soon as the weather warms it goes murky brown.

Is there any advice you can give me to get it clear. it is is the sun until 2pm and is due to be cleaned again as i have trees in the garden.

Is it just the fish causing this or anything else? what can i do to keep it clear?

please help!

Hi i need some advice as my housing association are causing me greif about my ponds.

Anyone know where you stand in moving/ filling in a wild life pond 4ft by 2ft preformed liner. established wildlife in the way of frogs and invertebrates. my housing association will insist on me doing so as liability. as if small children can climb 6ft fencing!!! plus we have no little ones that visit the house.

to me it seems ridiculous i also have to fill in my 11ft by 7ft ornamental pond with waterfalls and well established marginal planted borders.

Any advice would be appreciated
