Hot composting

Posted: 28/10/2014 at 10:21
This is just a new thing for us I would ask anyway,I am tempted by the hot bin but it has to stand on soil and be in the shade and I can't think of a place to put it.
I have four daleks two for house waste and two I use for weeds all stand on concrete and are full of worms I don't know how they get there but it works for me

Today I had a leaflet from our council offering composters, Green cone food waste digester ??15 rrp ??79 50, or a green johanna food waste digester and composter ??20 rrp ??108.90 they are both made by Great Green Systems Ltd
It might be worth looking on your councils website or giving them a ring if anybody is interested

I use small plastic bottles they don't blow off so easily and the base is large enough so if your face does come into contact when you bend down its unlikely to cause any damage
