yes i managed to put the camera  on top of a rock, my stick hasnt come yet i do have a small tripod that came with my OH monocular its about a foot high but i hadnt taken it with me. i couldnt remember what shutter spead so started at the slowest but it was over exposed so i just kept going up untill it worked

John thats a lovely picture

David i was just on Landscape trying to get a feel for the camera, you were right i have got used to it, those pictures from start to finish from the same spot just zooming a little at a time.

ihave just come in from having a play round the house
