It had been chasing a blackbird and then a chaffinch both got away, the chaffinch was hiding in a bush and the sparrow hawk just sat while I opened the door and took pictures, I suppose as we put food out for the birds it's also a feeding station for all

I have just looked at the cowpots link and see that they are made in America, any of you know of a similar product made in UK.

i use the middle of T R but they do grow little mushrooms sometimes

I used to have two rotory bins they were rubbish, heavy to turn and just rolled everything into a soggy great solid lump.

i don't turn my dalek things because I am lucky to have the space  for four and it takes about nine month to make usable compost + I just don't have the energy to do it now

I have four dalek type compost bins all standing on concrete I don't know how the worms get in but they do

There is a perennial dahlia that is hardy here up north it's "merkii" it's not easy to come by probably because it dosnt have very showy flowers
