What a gorgeous camellia David! Mine has been a failure again this year - bud drop despite keeping it well watered all through summer and autumn. I suspect the severe frosts all through February.

Ditto to Amazing2 (who I presume is Amazing from Scotland? Or her twin?).

Daniel, if you had had the grief from grid that Beeb posters did you would know why there was an instant alert.  He signalled his persona here by actually calling himself "gridgardener".  We have to be prepared for all sorts of silly names as he tries to troll his way in to despoil what is a friendly (and user-friendly) MB.

Phew!!! I noticed him too! He'd written a weird reply to one of my posts which instantly made me suspect! Thank God they've got rid of him. Good on the people who flagged him!

Just heard on the radio in response to whether the hose pipe ban is still on in parts of the UK: "..apparently if you have a lot of them, you're allowed to use them to build a shelter from the rain."

A bit grey, a bit damp, still cold. Heavy showers and strong winds forecast. Oh joy!

Make do and mend coldframes...ideas?

Hi Jeannie and welcome! We're all settling in here nicely and starting to find our way around. I'm sure the "locals" are friendly!

What a lovely comment Frank! Glad you're happy  . I was afraid we might lose your wealth of knowledge and experience, not to mention your sense of humour. Although we didn't communicate much directly on the other boards, I have browsed quite a few of your posts, and come across one or two old war stories! (or was it three?)
