Strawberry Plants

Should expect to get fruit from the strawberry plants I  bought recently, or is it better to wait until next year?  Seems such a long time to wait.

Ha ha Pansyface  .   There used to be a woman - a wrinky one - local to me who used to parade around town in a bikini.    Think she was escorted by the police on several occasions - right put me off me shoppin' !

B&Q M.Purpose Compost Issues.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a compost they have bought recently.  I bought B&Q Verve this year, even though is was very poor last year.  Thought I could throw it on the borders if it not up to much.  Have been pleasantly surprised that is an improvment on last year.

Where are YOU?

You would probably be out of luck at our house Mike, except during winter & wet days.  I'd have spent my day in the garden and cobbled together whatever I could find for dinner.  Kettles always on though!

Where are YOU?

Busy Bee2 - Thanks for enlightening me with some local history (another of my interests) .  Didn't know about this.  Was it the Dock Museum you visited?  Its is only small but very interesting - built over, and in part of a disused dock.  Barrow is well off the main thoroughfare - you definitely have to make a conscious decision to end up here.

What do you do or what did you do at work

How true Mike, have been of the same opinion for some time.
