Wow, thanks everyone for your greenhouse comments.  Haven't had much time of late to check back here and it was a lovely surprise to find so many new replies.  I have my base in place now so just need to decided what on the greenhouse.  All the above will be invaluable in my decision.  Thanks everyone

Raspberry problems

Its my first year with raspberries and mine appear to be the same.  How much water do they like?  Should I water them more during this hot weather?

Hi Tina (& everyone else on the map)  Kind of you to ask after me.  I would like to say I have been on a long vacation to many varied and interesting places  . . .  but alas the reality is I have been caught up with kitchen renovations and some alterations to our house.   Lots of dust, rubble and disruption. Not as pleasureable as a lovely holiday but we should be nearing completion in a couple of weeks.  So I haven't had time for gardening (even if I could get to my mower, hoe etc). I did make sure I got the base down for my greenhouse though, so waiting to see how much money is left, as to whether I get it this year or next.  I have missed forum, will be back with you fairly soon.

The best multi purpose compost this year

Posted: 23/05/2013 at 12:04

Nodlisab, I have had a similar experience with seeds.  I'm a novice with seeds and was putting my poor results down to my lack of knowledge/experience, but maybe the B&Q compost I'm using is part of the reason.  I agree with you it is poor, and it dries out so quickly.

Well I improved my map skill this morning, TT, by learning how to change the balloon - the new found knowledge has gone to my head !   Best leave this alone now and get on with what I'm supposed to be doing.
