Hi,

My geums are becoming rather large.  Can anyone advise me on when I should be dividing them, and also how please?

Best wishes,

Cx

Great.  Thanks.  I reckon it is easy enough to get a drill into it.  Our neighbours are dreadfully untidy, so I am sure there will be more room if they will let me move stuff around temporarily.

Thanks so much for all of your help.

It is in a slightly tricky spot, as the neighbour's wall has a 30cm gap before the house.  It is there that it is, nestled between the two bays, so it's a tight little spot.  I reckon I could get it down to about 30 cm tho, potentially.

Thanks so much.  I'll give that a go.  How far down do I need to drill?

I live in a terrace house with a bay window.  Our next-door neighbours are weed-lovers, nurturing a garden full of thigh-high nettles (a good security method I suppose).  Anyway, I noticed that there is now a rather tall and sturdy looking weed, which has a thick trunk (about 2" diameter) emerging between the wall of their house and ours. Can anyone give me any advice on how to destroy it before it destroys our house please?  It is nestled between the bay window, and looks fairly firmly wedged!

Ah, maybe.  Will they recover, do you think?

My strawberry plants have become brown in places, especially the leaves.  Has anyone got any idea why and also what I can do to rectify, if anything?

There was, but I cut it back.  I was a little worried it was Japanese knotweed earlier, but think that is paranoia, as there was an attack of it a few roads away.  I am pretty sure it was a hydrangea last year.  Maybe it just has weeds coming up through the centre?

Amazing!  I have just googled, and that's exactly what it is.  Thanks so much
