Becks, I'm getting mine from the bloke across the road who buys in bulk for lots of allotmenteers so gets them very cheap - how many do you need??

I've always fancied trying International Kidney (otherwise known as Jersey Royals) but haven't seen them at a reasonable price! Also, potatoes can taste different depending on the soil - so might not taste right!

Its worth bearing in mind that potatoes are not frost hardy so you don't want the shoots appearing above ground before frosts have passed, unless you can cover them. That's ok for a few plants but not for the 6 rows I have on the allotment!

I like Charlotte, they always seem to do well and have a good flavour. I grew Rocket last year as well - they were ready very early, but the taste wasn't as good as Charlotte in my opinion. I'm also growing Maris Piper as my main crop, and trying Desiree (I like to experiment a bit). Not ready to relinquish my crown just yet!

16 seed potatoes for £2 - bargain!

Dean, sorry to hear about Rigsby, know how that feels.

Hope everyone's feeling chipper this morning. The sun is shining here - amazing how much it perks things up.

Jo, glad to hear you'll be joining the trip! Plan is to wait until Geoff is settled in Valencia, spend a few days at Lizzies then all go on to Geoffs. Becks, don't forget your sun cream!

Ok peeps, I think the pink bus is the one! Of course all dogs and small children welcome, provided they have passports!

Bjay can make cakes for the journey to keep us fed, until we get to Lizzies.

Flo, hope the leak is sorted now!

Can always do a road trip and stop off in the Dordogne on our way to Valencia once Geoff has moved. I don't mind driving the bus, have driven on the wrong side of the road lots of times before!!

Lizzie, Pam and I are about 2 miles apart, and have met at her garden open day. I often drive past her house.

I've also met Geoff, Mrs Geoff, Cody and the chickens!

Bjay, could I have a bit of everything please? It all looks scrummy!

Andy, you could always start some broad beans off now if you're desperate to plant something. Overwintering varieties don't even need a greenhouse but they might like a bit of shelter to get going. And some peppers - they need a long growing season. But as Geoff says, what do you want to grow?

Car tyre now swopped over for the spare one, with the help of James. Can get home - phew!

I have a purple trug. There wasn't a pink one when I went to get it, but I do have a pink watering can!

Sue, is that chocolate flavoured custard with that chocolate sponge?

I have a puncture! That is, the car tyre has a puncture! I've been out to check, and it looks like a large screw or nail sticking out of the tyre. Its too flat to drive on. I've checked I have a spare wheel (inflated), jack and locking wheel nut. All I need now is a bloke to change it for me! I'd do it myself but I'm not sure I have the strength.

Mr Smelly is actually more commonly known as Stinky. And my other colleagues are the Geek, the Hobbit, the Boss, the Mouse and James. Will ask James to do the wheel for me.
