Pam is very close to the exchange - a few hundred feet in fact. Probably makes a difference. At home we are about 2 miles away. Got a dongle at work so completely different signal strength.

My photo editing software lets me change the size of photos - and I mean the file size, not the actual size although it does that as well!

Very grey here today, and the traffic was a nightmare on the way in - caused by a closure on the M3 motorway meaning all the traffic was coming through the town instead.

I think the school headmaster will take them to task - good school with a good reputation to uphold - he won't be pleased that pupils have been causing havoc in a community building. Don't think the parents will do much though.

I failed with cyber cake only. Its my colleague's birthday today and he brought cream cakes in......I tried to resist but the temptation was too much!

That chocolate eclair was delicious though!

I will keep checking cyber-locker for leftovers! Especially cake - have decided that's the only sort I can have at the moment if I'm to shift that extra half a stone that's crept on!

Geoff, little sods is right, I'd read them the riot act. And I would have made them clean up as well, but when the mess was discovered we didn't know who was responsible at first.

Morning all. Quite icy this morning and some drivers were taken by surprise it seems. There was a road closed on our normal route in, due to an accident. That meant a long detour and bad traffic so OH was late for work, but he phoned in as soon as we saw there was a problem.

The 'party' culprits will be getting a bill for the damage, and the headmaster of the school will be informed - most of the kids involved were from the school in the village. They will also be asked to clear up the mess outside - we would have done it but didn't have a ladder. The police have been informed but they didn't attend as at the time we spoke to them we didn't know if they had had permission to be there - turns out they didn't have, and had taken the key without the mum's knowledge. But they asked us to keep hold of a few objects with hard surfaces that they could fingerprint if we wanted them charged with trespass and criminal damage. Not sure we will go down this route, but it does seem that kids these days have no accountability.

Its dry here at the moment and I'm hoping it stays dry at least until lunchtime - a visit to the plot is long overdue!

Plans went to pot today - had a text to say the scout hut had been trashed, so son no. 2 and I went up there. There were loo rolls all over the place outside, including hanging from the trees, paper towels all over both toilets, a pile of something disgusting in the ladies, beer and coke cans and smirnoff ice bottles everywhere, salt and flour from the kitchen scattered everywhere, loads of mud trodden in mixed with whatever had been spilled, various breakages and two interior doors damaged. Turns out a 16 year old had got hold of a key and invited lots of mates for a party, unbeknown to parents. It took 8 of us two hours to clear it all up. His mother arrived when we'd almost finished the clear up and wasn't even very apologetic. 

Then I came home and did some painting!

Hello all - sounds like its been dramatic for some of you overnight. No snow here, and its sunny now so I'm hoping that's it for this winter! Ever optimistic!

Off to the DIY shop in a minute, for plasterboard. Then I can get the bedroom sorted - its been chaos since the new shower was put in.

I had a couple of parcels delivered this morning, stuff from ebay. It felt like Christmas!
