its just done to me what it did to Bjay!! My post from yesterday reappeared. Anyway, I'm home safely. It was treacherous - not my driving but the other idiots on the road!

I've just let Alfie out into the garden - I opened the back door, and he sniffed at the snow and looked at me as if to say 'what on earth?' then he jumped out into it and ran round like a looney. I tried to take a photo but he didn't keep still for long enough!

Now to have some lunch!

I might require an air drop, although I think I'd rather walk home than spend a weekend here with Mr Smelly!!

Morning all. I'm at my desk, and have been since 8.30 - am I the only one to have gone to work today? Its snowing steadily, the road is going white. Main roads are clear - so far. I heard on the news its chaos along the M4 in South Wales. Cue lots of reporters standing around freezing their bits off!

Bjay, glad you got the airport run over and done with, I just hope the planes are still flying!

Flo, glad to hear there wasn't much damage! Please send cake to cyber locker!

Also, can someone please send a snow plough out for me later so I can get home? Thanks, much appreciated

Not checked the weather forecast lately but it was actually snowing a bit when I came in from Cubs. We had quite an active evening - a couple of games, as they were full of energy. Also had a new little one start and the others voted him Cub of the week which was very sweet of them.

Geoff you are right about the work thing. I will be going to work as usual. Forecast is ok for getting to work. Its getting home that will be the problem!

Hello all. Frosty here, no snow. The forecast has changed again - now only snow on Friday night. Well, I'll wait and see. I'm going to shop at lunchtime today anyway, not that I think there's the remotest possibility of getting snowed in, but the less trips out at the weekend the better.

I made OH drive this morning as far as his work because he's been driving me nuts with his 'comments' on my driving! The boys say there is nothing wrong with my driving, its just him being a nervous passenger - and of course he's such an expert driver himself! 

Caz, thanks for that recipe, they look delicious!

Jo, that's one of the reasons I'm taking part in the University study - so I can find out if taking a vit. D supplement will help prevent osteoporosis.

I'm cold. Heating is on full blast in my office but its still cold! I've got my large scarf wrapped around me like a shawl.

Sausages and jacket spuds for tea. Probably beans as well. And a nice cup of tea.

Sorry to hear about the dog. We had to have our last one put to sleep at the age of 6 - it was heartbreaking, whole family took ages to get over it.

Have checked out 3 different forecasts now and they all say snow on Friday night into Saturday. Will wait and see!

I wish we still had our wood burner installed though!
