Not all the time, just now and again! He and son no. 2 got the remote (similar to the problem Jo has) and now there's some stargate film on (yawn). Ripper Street is recording.

I've had a browse on ebay for stuff. Mum needs knitting wool. Much cheaper on there but I'm not sure what exactly she needs. Don't knit myself!

My OH has just commented that I talk to you lot more than I talk to him!!

Countryfile weather forecast showed the snow will all be down the east coast. I'm safe then!

Becks, suggest you hide those venison steaks you've got in your freezer!

Blokes now watching Uncle Buck - although they've seen it loads of times before. Everyone home, well fed, and warm.

Jean, just had to check how far north you are! Nothing doing here, I have the same forecast as Geoff - a light dusting in the night and then rain tomorrow. I really don't live in Siberia!

Jo, you got any snow?

Dean, you are a hero - I shall hold off on shopping in case I get a surprise package!

Curry nearly ready, son no. 3 dispatched to work, so I'll have to go and collect him in an hour. Will record Countryfile.

I'm still watching Ripper Street - don't mind a bit of gore!

Afties all. Have spent part of today sorting through seeds and seeing what I need to buy - quite a bit as I seem to have used quite a lot last year! Either that or there are more lurking in a cupboard somewhere and I've not found them! Someone offered to post seeds to me but nothing materialised so I guess he forgot!  Mind you I was slow answering his messages, so probably my fault!

Have also done a quick shop to Sainsburys (waved to Pam on passing) but made the mistake of taking son no. 3 with me, which doubled the bill!

I have decided not to do a roast today, so am doing curry - also did a freezer rummage and found some samosas, bhajis and naans, so will warm those up. But before I start on that I need to give son no. 3 a lift as he has a couple of hours work this evening.

Then a night in front of the TV!

Inka you might want to fill up a couple of kettles now just in case!

Have been on a little shopping trip, there were a couple of snow flurries but it didn't stick. I'm with Kate, want enough snow so that work and school are cancelled - although the boys would still have to go to work as its a boarding school they work in.

Geoff do long as the gorilla pays the asking price!

Bjay, you have me sussed!

My dream house has been sold! No point doing the lottery now

Flo - can't help with the google thing - mine seems to be set automatically to UK. No good asking me how!

Off home now - got to pick up OH on the way, he's got a puncture (the bike that is, not OH himself, although he could do with a little deflating!)

Hello Pam, good that things are ok.

Hello Maud, shame about the hole - yes that is bollox.

Becks, yes of course all men are strange - I should know as I live with 4 of them.

Bjay, all sounds like hard work - can you come and do mine when you're finished there? You can bring the wheelbarrow!

Had a thought this morning - blowing your nose whilst sitting on the toilet - an excellent example of multi-tasking!

Have to say I'm not liking what I'm seeing on theweatheroutlook.com

Some kind soul moved my pots from the front doorstep into the garage last night in case we got a frost, but actually we escaped - for last night at least.

Becks, presume you are switched on now! Loved the picture of the skinny dippers - not worried about letting their wobbly bits hang out!

Had a lovely evening at the cinema, we treated ourselves to ice cream (Ben & Jerrys - but they were happy to share!). The film was very good, we thoroughly enjoyed it. But my friend whispered to me at one point 'do you realise we are the youngest people in this cinema?'and that's saying something! Oh, and the lady sitting next to me on the other side had a whistly nose, which I could hear in the quieter moments of the film. Nice.

The slug story was in the Mail yesterday - but its not the big orange/brown slugs that annoy me most, its the little black ones that eat my potatoes!

Sasha, I'd have gone back to bed as well!

Inka, pizza is a very acceptable breakfast food. The boys and OH maintain that curry is also acceptable, as long as its leftover from the night before.

Becks, as Bjay says, might make the consistency a little less smooth, but no difference in taste whatsoever. Just use same amount of granulated in the recipe as you would caster sugar. Have fun baking!

Going to see Quartet this evening. I'd like to see Les Mis but my friend isn't feeling all that perky at the moment and doesn't want to go and see something that might make her cry!
