I have a dongle at work, proper internet at home! 

I have posted pictures, just not ones of the front of my house - which looks more like a car park than anything else to be honest. And the back garden is just a mess! 

I've had a call from my Mum this evening to say that Grandad has been taken into hospital - this is worrying news.

That is beautiful Lizzie - and makes my garden look very plain and boring so I'm not posting any pictures! 

I have lived abroad before (2 years in Belgium) and found then that you soon get to meet other ex-pats and aren't short of company, plus you get an endless stream of visitors looking for a cheap holiday! I'm not daunted by the prospect. Where my brother lives there is a large English community and you are just as likely to hear people speaking English in the town as you are Spanish. I'd go tomorrow if I could.

We are also hoping to go to Spain, near to where my brother already lives - so I will just pick his brains! Healthcare seems good where he is, to be honest. But we are not ready to make the move yet, lots to organise before then as only one of the boys wants to come with us (at the moment - he might change his mind), so have to get the others sorted first. Ours is a long term plan, unlike Geoff who can just pack his dog and toothbrush!

Girasole, I approve! Mind you I have the silliest name on here so who am I to comment?!

Had a seed catalogue through the door this morning - have had a browse. Am tempted by lots of things but I need to check my seed box and see what's already in there!

Geoff, well done on the decision - very exciting! I'm sure you will welcome us all to visit in sunnier climes, if we agree to rehouse your chickens for you!

Kevin is someone's alter-ego! Used to pop up on another board, I seem to remember.

I had some tarot cards - they were bought as a gift for me ages ago. Never did work out how to read them even though they came with a book, so I've given them away now.

Well rotted horse poo is very good for the veg garden. Although the last manure delivery I had was cow poo, I will be getting some free horse poo from the stables soon! Have to go and bag it up - that's the hard work bit!

Geoff, think it was me who survived the trauma of meeting you! Was I not what you expected?

Have also met Pam LL - she's lovely - as I expected!

Sort of watching Up at the moment although I've seen it before, and thinking about sorting something for dinner but fancy something very plain. Pasta maybe.

Can you freeze smoked salmon? Had some yesterday and got quite a bit left - too much to eat in one go. Maybe I could combine the smoked salmon and pasta into something. 

Last day of freedom tomorrow then back to work on Thursday.

Been outside and sorted some pots, put in some bulbs I'd forgotten about, and let the chickens out for a wander. Popped back in for coffee but will go out again in a minute. Have also found some bulbs sprouting in a plastic box where I'd put them with some soil after I emptied out a pot for summer planting last year (can say last year now!) so need to find a better pot for them. 

I think I just need more pots! Got a couple of vouchers that will come in useful for that.
