Grey here at the moment too. Had to have a read of the other thread this morning as I wasn't around last night. Made me giggle - you lot are incorrigible!

Pam LL - our nearest Wilko is in Camberley - will let you know when I'm going next and you can let me have your shopping list!

Watched most of the opening ceremony last night but it went on beyond my bedtime.

Met my friend and had time for coffee and cake - very pleasant.

Rain has also stopped here. I'm stopping off at the supermarket on the way home for something for dessert as OH has cooked for tonight - something veggie, a spicy ratatouille type thing, with new potatoes.

Rain arrived here as well so I went to the GC for lunch, but no time to browse.

Kate, those builders don't sound too good. Keep us informed on progress - or lack of it when they go off to hospital with missing toes!

Flo, coming from a totally male dominated household, I need that mug!

Not a promising forecast for here today either - dry at the moment but rain by lunchtime so it might have to be a trip to the GC rather than the plot.

Jean, I like the combat gear, am sure it would suit me! Kate, let us know when you need us (not for housework though!)

Becks, hope the other potatoes are ok!

Hello all, back from my trip to Cornwall. Had lots of what my brother refers to as 'liquid sunshine' and have brought back a soaking wet tent which now needs to be dried before my next camping trip in 2 weeks time. The tent stood up admirably to the torrential rain and gale force winds.

Best bit was of course Heligan - could have done with longer there but we had invites to a BBQ so had to leave earlier than I wanted. I also didn't get a chance to look round the shop. We have promised ourselves a return trip. And we went on Sunday - by far the best day weather-wise. We have also promised ourselves a return trip to Padstow when my bank balance is feeling healthier!

Becks, sorry to hear about the blight - but your potatoes will probably be alright.

Kate, we will do a midnight raid and chop up the Russian vine.

Forgot to give Jo our order for swiss chocolate but I'm sure she will come back with a stash!

Has he gone? Is it safe to get the Maltesers out??

OH is planning to drag me out of bed ridiculously early (around 5am) but I may still be asleep so might end up going in my jim jams! There will be traffic somewhere, whatever time we set off.

After long discussions with OH we are going to Heligan - planning to do that on Sunday. Actually we compared entrance prices and Eden was more expensive plus we have both been there (although not recently) and not been to Heligan so it won.

I will use a map as I know how they work, and OH will use a Sat Nav as he's hopeless with maps!

I will of course also make sure there is cream tea consumption at some point over the weekend.

Bon Voyage Geoff!
