I like being Lottie although I'm not in real life!

Had a cold caller tell me today that I was 'very unhelpful' because I wouldn't put him through to the boss. Part of my job is to field these calls and get rid of the time wasters - I think he got the message!

Becks - that looks yummy - now I have to go to the supermarket!

Geoff, many many happies for today . I trust there will be cake??

Becks, we can all learn something new - and we all start off clueless!! I'm still clueless about a lot of things.

Can't decide what to do today - its humid and sticky. And I have no cake or chocolate. Might have to forgo the plot for a quick trip to the supermarket.

A neighbour said something to me about 'livestock' and my reply was 'they're not livestock, they're pets'. which they are! Especially when son no.1 used to walk round the garden with one sitting on each shoulder.

Becks you will just have to do as Geoff and I have done and get your own hens! Having said that, 3 of mine have gone broody so I'm only getting one egg a day at the moment

Those potatoes sounded ridiculously expensive, plus if they weren't going to store for long they could have come from a blighted crop, in which case they will turn to mush (and smell terrible!!).

PPam - no ripe blackberries here yet, I will be on the lookout. Love an apple and blackberry crumble (or any crumble for that matter).

I will provide courgettes sauteed in butter with garlic (over pasta), courgette soup and courgette cake (yes its yummy, honest!).

I like the idea of a pj party, but I'm also very tempted by a onesie!

Didn't those 2 brothers do well in the triathlon, couldn't help thinking I bet their mum was proud (as the mother of boys!)

@Jean, yes, all seemed a bit odd. As Geoff says, BBC commentators also seemed to think so.

I am back from the fields, have survived another cub camp. I didn't even get bitten by the mozzies (copious quantities of insect repellent but it didn't repel the maybug that landed on me). There was lots of cake!

I've come back to a mountain of courgettes - and the first runner beans - so will have them for tea tonight. We were kept informed with regular bulletins on the meddling.

I don't need a HUB, got one of those, I need some young and glamourous toyboy to hang off my arm! I hear Robert Pattinson may be available........

Jenny is there space near you to train? With our new mode of transport it won't take us long to get there! My chooks are eager to join the team.

What is the male equivalent of a WAG and can I have one please?

Agree about leftovers. I deliberately cooked up twice as many new potatoes as I needed last night so that we can have them fried up this evening with sausages!

Gary I am admiring your dedication - keep us informed of events today.
