Smallswan - a well cared for peacock can live up to 40 years in captivity.....but they are edible!! Kevin ought to go on holiday to Brownsea Island, I'm sure nobody would notice an extra one!

Not been to Heligan but its on my list!

I had strawberries and cream last night - home grown strawberries. Don't have a cow so no home grown cream!

I only iron the sheets or curtains that I wear out in public - I am not an ironing goddess like Jo!

The scout and guide hut is falling down, we are in the very early stages of planning a new one but need everything - community support, money, a plot to build on - the whole 9 yards. The lease on the current plot expires in less than 4 years. Our stall on Saturday will be to sign up support and raise awareness! We have a banner and balloons.

Welcome back Smallswan - did you get to visit any impressive gardens while you were there?

I will be on the new build stall - making people aware of our plans and hoping to get their support!

So what are the plans for the midsummer party? Do I need to iron a sheet?

Steak and chips sounds perfect - washed down with lashings of ginger beer!

Kate yes you can plant peas now - they should still have enough time to produce a crop. As Geoff says, give it a go. I noticed one of my mangetout pea plants has a beautiful flower on it - pink and purple. Don't think it could have got muddled up with the sweet peas!

Happy birthday to Cody - I think he'd just like a large bone and some chews as treats! And happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs Geoff - no doubt the champagne is on ice and the restaurant table is booked!

Same goes for bootlaces.

Not sure I am a fashionista, my brother asked me why I was wearing a curtain!!!

Oh no, I was in a strappy top at the allotment today - no wonder Mrs PP hurried Mr PP away!

I have been to Ascot, I have worn hats. It was a long time ago.

Ok better bring the 3 person tent for Geoff and friends and the 9 person one for me, Kate and whoever else!

KG, you've picked a good day for it - have a lovely time. As Geoff says keep tight hold of your purse strings though!

Anyone off to Ascot?

David, as Geoff says, just join the nonsense on here! I can't remember if I joined the TAPS board or not, I don't think I did in the end but would defintely have been banned by now!

Ok, will bring a tent - the 3 man or the 9 man? Will we pitch it on the common with the wombles?
