Bees or wasps?

Not sure but I'd like to know too as I have a small group trying to burrow into the soil. Not sure what they are up to.

Cornus refusing to grow

Posted: 09/06/2013 at 15:40

I have a cornus sanguinea midwinter fire which I planted about five months ago but it has refused to grow since. It's leaves are going yellow and very little newgrowth is appearing. I have clay soil so moved it and dug in lots of organic compost and watered well but still no movement. What would be killing it?

Senetti dying

It's cooler today if that's any consolation! I thought they wanted/needed plenty of sun so thought it would do well on the patio. I've now moved it around so it's shaded. hopefully it will pick up.

It's on my terrace so gets lots of sun most of the day until about 5pm. I water it regularly, especially now it's been so warm so keep it moist. Too much or too little you think?

Senetti dying

I bought a Senetti plant and put it in a large pot with good compost. It was great for about a month but now has curling leaves and the flowers are not really growing and what are are tiny. Picture below. Any ideas?

OK good advice, thank you. I assume the spirals don't inhibit the plants' growth then?

Young Beach Hedge

I planted bare rooted beach hedge plants last November. Each has a cane and a spiral to protect them from rabbits etc. They are now all very green and leafy so how long should I leave the spirals on? They seem a bit restricted with the spirals on but not sure if taking them off will harm them. Advice would be really helpful. Thanks!
