Well  forkers, what a busy lot you have been while I had my back turned.

When we go to France, Lizzie, we really love the seafood, wine and cheese, but I'm always pleased to get back home to a good cup of tea. They can't get the hang of actually boiling the water, never had a good cuppa there yet. They don't do proper cream cakes either, it's all the creme patisserie- that doesn't look right, but you know what I mean, custardy stuff..

Bought a canna lily tuber while out today, never had much luck with them in the past, but thought I'd give them another go. Any tips any one. Also some meal worns for the birds for 99p, a bargain I thought.

Not much on TV tonight so will have to see what I have got recorded.

Liked your summary of todays activities. We all sound barmy. no comments please.

My book has arrived from Amazon, well pleased with it.1p plus £2.85 postage not bad for a book original price £19.99 -  in good condition. Ex library book. You can sometimes pick up a bargain at the library when they are having a clear out.

I thought i saw the odd flake of snow when i popped out side a few moments ago, it's old enough. Fed up with this winter, don't want to play this game any more

Going out to get some pea gravel from Wickes, much cheaper than GC, them to t to see if they have any bargains.

Deano, don't crack the whip too hard.

See you later Have a nice day

Gardening Shows in 2013

We have been to both Tatton and Spring and Autumn shows at Malvern. Can recommend both. Malvern is a more manageable site, not too big, the Autumn show was more like a country show, with food stall and animals or it was when we went a few years ago, but enjoyable none the less. We haven't been to any shows in the last couple of years partly due to health reasons, OH has had both knees replaced, and the cost of entrance. We have also been to Forde Abbey, great garden centre, very affordable. It was when we visited just a garden to walk round. Beautiful

We have a beautiful climbing Rose called Compassion, disease resistant,  large pink flowers, good fragrance, and lovely glossy foliage.

I think the pub we stayed in last week at Stratford was haunted. It was 16th century, and the cleaning lady told us she had seen ' things'. It sounded like people were moving furniture in the middle of the night, perhaps they were. And no I hadn't had a drink

Do you want to borrow  my specs?, I posted Lincolnshire WOLDS not woods,-- by the way the sausages are very good.

I installed Windows 8 on my PC couldn't make head nor tail of it so took it off, I like things to be simple, enough complications in life without adding to them.

I like Robbie, singing, but he always looks a bit strange to me

What's the weather like in your area?

Nr Lincoln.

Not been a bad day here, bit on the dull side but no wind, so not feeling too cold. Grass has had its first slight trim and various other tidying done, things are starting to look better in the garden.
