Left Oh wrestling with acer trying to get it into its new pot, what a job. The pot is slightly tapered a t the bottom so we have had to trim the roots, just hope it survives the rough treatment. Lost a few branches as well time will tell.

My Dad used to love cowboy film, OH still does.

Been listing a few things on ebay, clothes that are too big free listings this weekend.

We have had a lovely day here, quite spring like, getting cold now though.

Prawn and mushroom Biryani for tea. Meant to get some Naan bread when shopping but forgot.

Congratulations Flo and Co, good score, We used to go to quiz nights run by the cricket club in the village, but it all fizzled out, quite miss it really.

We had rats in our garden a couple of years ago, came through from the old orchard , now neglected and ripped up, took several visits by Rat Man to get rid of them. I'm always expecting them to come back. The council charged us £45 per complete treatment. Now we only put food on the bird table and in feeders, but  inevitability some falls on the floor.

Dove. Understand where your coming from regarding parents. We looked after my Mum for 5 years after she had a stroke, and quite frankly our life was on hold. She eventually had to go into residential care and is still going strong at 99.

Good morning all.

Lovely crisp frosty morning here in Lincolnshire.

Hoping to get some pruning done today when it warms up a bit, Roses and Clematis, then give them a feed. I bought some herb seed yesterday, parsley and dill, going to get them started in the heated propagator. We find parsley always a bit hit and miss to get going.

I've still got Monty to watch, saved it for tonight when I expect there will be nothing worth watching, well for us at least.

Hope the snow has gone from the Stratford area by Monday, Gary, we'll be down your way then.

Morning All.

Going to GC today to buy new pot for Acer. I have numerous unused pots but of course not one suitable for said job, ain't that just typical. But on the bright side I have lots of vouchers to spend so hopefully won't cost me a fortune.

Wyevales are doing an offer for lunch during Feb if you are a garden club member. Buy one lunch for up to £7. 50 get another free, might take them up on the offer, if it's not too busy.

Hopefully we will be going to Stratford -upon-Avon on Monday, weather permitting, for a 3 night stay, put off from January due to bad weather.

The cat is sat on the window sill behind me looking out of the window. She has obviously seen something she doesn't like, she's growling and is puffed up

 In a more relaxed mode.

As for trolls. - why can't they just join in a normal posting and enjoy.

Just going to check if we have any John Innes no 3. Acers pot has cracked and broken into pieces, been going for a while, so new pot require, and hopefully we have enough JI and ericaceous compost to do the job. More expense

Wow, Yippee another gardening programme to watch on the TV and not on a computer screen. Has the message finally got through to the BBC that gardeners actually want longer screen time than 1/2hr a week as we now have with Gardeners World and repeats and compilations of other past gardening progs.
