Hi Lizzie,

We are coming to the Dordogne in May and was hoping to visit some French gardens when we are there, any suggestions. We will be quite near Sarlat. The gardens we have visited were mainly in the Loire Valley, around the chateaus. I like flowers as well and am very interested in vegetable growing, The French seem to be particularly good at it.

Looking forward to Monty's prog tonight. We have visited a few of the gardens he is featuring, Villandry being a particular favourite. the French vegetable gardens are really spectacular. Should be well worth watching, perhaps give us some ideas for this years planting, will just need to be scaled down somewhat

Good Morning All.

It's a pain about your lights Jean, we have got some old fashioned garden lights, that work off the mains, and most of the shades were blown all over the garden, some ending up in the pond, but otherwise we were luck enough to get away with no damage to the garden and fences.

Bunny, --  lovely dog and by the way, you have an echo

Just watching David Beckham on his joining Paris St Germain, he's giving his salary away to childrens charities There's a dishy frenchman translating for him, just love the accent, can't understand a word of it though.

Hope everyone is well, you have all been busy posting today.

Nice to hear from Glyn, those names are great, we have a chap at the chinese takeaway who likes to be called Brian, his wife is Sue and they have a brother called Norman!
