Just watching David Beckham on his joining Paris St Germain, he's giving his salary away to childrens charities There's a dishy frenchman translating for him, just love the accent, can't understand a word of it though.

Hope everyone is well, you have all been busy posting today.

Nice to hear from Glyn, those names are great, we have a chap at the chinese takeaway who likes to be called Brian, his wife is Sue and they have a brother called Norman!

Yes Charlotte is a good potato and it's usually clean and resistant to disease and scab. It's just a little too solid for my taste, but a great salad potato.Might grow it again this year along with a different first early. Living in Lincolnshire we don't bother with maincrop, mainly because we are limited to room, and we can usually buy lates at reasonable price direct from the grower.

It sounds as if you are having a wonderful time Glyn Geoff has been clearing out his shed and found some questionable reading matter

Geoff, it surprising how much you can do in an hour, its getting rid of it once you've sorted itand getting motivated when the weather isn't good

I agree about the cost of seeds etc in France. I always buy some Blonde de Paris lettuce seed when we go, as I can't seem to buy it here, but it is 3 times the price of lettuce seed in England.

I am determined to get rid of loads of things this year. I've been putting it off for a long time, due to family things that had to be dealt with, but this year, its going

Our nearest Wyevale is at Louth, about 25 miles away, but as we shop  in Louth regularly it's no problem. We were in there last week and they had dozens of different seed potatoes, plus you could buy individual potatoes if you just wanted a few of a new variety to try. Onion sets and shallots available too.

They also were unpacking the summer bulb and dahlia tubers, I bought one for a friends birthday, spoilt for choice..

We grew some Vales Emerald potatoes last year, but were disappointed with the result, but I think the wet weather was to blame.

Geoff, not this afternoon I hope, don't want to take it to the tip

Don't know what potatoes to grow this year, OH didn't keep the name of  the one we really liked a few years ago, so now we try a different one each year hoping we might get one we like. Any recommendations. We want a good all rounder, like Charlotte, Maris Bard.

Morning Folks.

Sorry to hear about Deans Boxer, always sad to lose a pet.

Have been clearing out fitted wardrobe, emulsioning it and putting stuff back.Got loads for the charity shop, on my way there this afternoon. Why do we keep soooo much stuff

We have snowdrops, and I'm please to say my tulips planted in pots are just through the compost. I have ordered some piccolo tomato seeds, anyone tried them? I bought some to eat last week, they are lovely, very sweet, thought we would give them a try..

Congrats Flo, not easy to lose weight, especially at this time of year I lost 1lb last week, don't know how
