Morning everyone.

Christmas Decs away for another year, had a good sort out and binned some that were definitely past their best.

I'm going to start to sort out the spare bedroom wardrobe, not looking forward to that.. We have decided to decorate now rather than leave until spring as there's not much you can do outside, far too soggy, although lots of bulbs peeping through.Got some snowdrops almost in flower

Nice day here after a very misty start, nice to be able to have the windows open and a breath of fresh air about the place.

Oh washing the car after we went down some very muddy tracks yesterday out in the Wolds. Everywhere is gungy.

Must get on, catch you later maybe

Are we keeping Christmas smileys all year?

Chris

We had a garage sale, the amount raised and got rid of didn't justify the hard work and time it took.. Tried car boots as well, with limited success. Charity shops are a good option.

Geoff -- Are you taking much with you or are you having a complete fresh start? Which would be the most expensive? New furniture or transporting yours over there?

Going to see The Hobbit this evening, so must go and get early tea.

Bye for now

Chris.

Yes, Welcome Rambling Rose. We are getting a lot of new recruits, our fame must be spreading

Away now to prepare evening meal. Gammon for his Lordship, I'm having a very small piece of steak that was lurking in the freezer, jacket potatoe, grilled tomatoes, and mushrooms.

Midsomer Murders tonight, will it be as far fetched as usual?

Catch you later.

Geoff.

Go for it, I wish you all the luck in the world. Hope the house sells quickly, I'm just not that brave. I read in the paper the best time to sell is early spring through till June, so you are doing it at the right time, you can always send your pearls of wisdom from Spain

I'm sat here with OH and cat on sofa, not sure who is snoring the loudest.

How long have you had your present garden Girasole? I'm known on the forum as Chris, nice to have you with us.

If this is your first year I would leave it until Spring, and see what you have to work with. You might have all sorts of treasures hiding, just waiting to emerge, or is this a new build garden, a blank canvass?.

No planing went into our garden, it has evolved over many years, changing as the family grew and needs altered. If I was going to develope a new garden I would sit down and draw a plan, consult books, and go from there, just see what works for you and your needs. Best of luck .

Hi everyone.

I have just been putting the remaining chocolates out of sight, too much temptation and having a general tidy up. Decs will be coming down by the weekend, little by little.

Oh tried on a new pair of trousers, bought just before Christmas, they were a little snug to say the least, can't blame the washing machine

Really miserable day here, and not very warm, best place is indoors.

I like both Spain and Italy for holidays, but wouldn't like to live anywhere but the UK, with all it's faults. I like to be able to go out and have a conversation, know what I'm buying, and I would miss family and friends, but each to his own. Too set in my ways the adapt.

Love the Green Man plaque, I've got one in the conservatory, something about him makes you connect with nature.

What's the weather like in your area?

Happy New Year to everyone.

It's started with a lovely day here, Bright sunshine all day. Long may it continue, but I'm afraid rain forecast for tomorrow.

Back again, We watched Ripper Street, thought it was very good, a bit bloody and adult shall we say in places, but very well cast and acted. Looks as if it will be a good series.

Pork chops and sausage in the oven, washing in, looks like things will continue in the same old way in 2013

I want a pink wheel barrow like Bjays, birthday is later this month so it will go on the wish list.

Any New Years resolutions made or have I missed them in previous postings, far too many to read all of them,

Hi fellow forkers and a very Happy New Year to you all.

How nice it is to see that nearly everyone is back to their original names, I feel more at home.

Hope you all had a good New Years evening/night. We spent it at SIL, had Chinese T/away and OH had a few drinks, I was, as usual driving. Watched the London fireworks. thought they were spectacular. Now it's all over we can look forward to SPRING!!!! Things are starting to move in the garden, quite a few plants in flower and bulbs appearing all over the place.

I see we have a few new recruits, welcome to all who have dared to venture in You will certainly get plenty of entertainment and help on all kinds of subjects.

Geoff --We have booked to go in May, to the Dordogne, near Rocamadour.

Catch you later.

Good afternoon folks.

Been trying to rid my computer of gremlins, without much success. every time I try to sign in to ebay it freezes, will just have to avoid that site, perhaps it will save me money if I do.

Going to SIL this evening, but we are having a Chinese takeaway, neither of us feel like cooking after all the festivities. All the relative have departed to various parts of the country, so it's back to being quiet, can't say I'm sorry, it's been all eating and drinking, put on 2lb when I weighed myself this morning, so will be back on the straight and narrow tomorrow..

Hope you all have a Happy, Prosperous and Peaceful New Year, no getting drunk and disorderly as if you would!!!!!

Just been called by OH to have lunch, homemade soup, guess what sort, all I will say it has something to do with Christmas.

Cheers me dears,  Chris.
