Hi everyone.

I'm just sitting down with a cuppa after a busy morning. Just had a display from the Red Arrows. They are based about 5 miles from us so we get to see them when they practise.

We went to friends at Nottingham for 3 nights, the weather was so bad we really could only mooch about the garden centre, and we went to Ikea, managed to spend quite a lot on things I didn't know I needed. They do a very good breakfast for £1.25, most impressed, but then it doesn't take much to impress me.

We went to Rufford Country Park on Wednesday and the lake came up so quickly the car park had to be evacuated, the ford overflowed, and we beat a hasty retreat, it's frightening how fast and easily you could get into trouble.

Must go and see if the potatoes are cooked for the fish pie. OH birthday on Sunday so we are having a get together on Saturday evening, I'm trying to get a bit of prep done in advance.

Out tonight to friends for another birthday do. Her OH is cooking Indian I thinks

There's never a dull moment.

Oh Frank. What a trail of disaster.

Never mind, start afresh today, I'm sure it was a one off.

I haven't got to cook tonight as we are going to a friends house for a birthday meal, I believe her husband is cooking a curry, mmm, nice change for me not to do the cooking.

Chris.

What's the weather like in your area?

Bright and sunny here Nr Lincoln. Wind has dropped and the deluge has departed, thank goodness.

Good morning All.

Back after my mini break at friends, pleased to be home, especially after the rotten weather. It's a lovely morning here so I might get the washing dry. I haven't been round the garden yet so don't know if any damage has been done. Sorry I missed the game. I didn't really catch up with all the posts, just dipped in, there were far too many.

Hope everyone is well.

Catch you later.

Chris.
