Good morning all festive forkers

Quite a change in the weather here, mild and damp. OH had to get up in the night as he had been fixing the guttering over the conservatory door and had left a rag over the silicone he used to bung up the crack to protect from the frost, and forgot to take it out. The rain woke us up and he then remembered the gutter was blocked by rag so had to get the steps out to remove it at 4 o'clock this morning, He was not amused, neither was I. It was a disturbed night all over the country by the sound of it.

I was going to say Jack in a Box for Geoff's advent comp, so now I don't know what to say. Have entered the GW comp, are they going to publish winner on the forum?

Must get something done, so far have only showered and got dressed, feel lazy today.

Catch you later.

Game pie out of oven, and looking ok. Oh has tried the first of the mince pies, made from leftover pastry from pie, given them the thumbs up but says he will have to try them when cold to give final approval, he's definately pushing his luck. He says it's all about quality control

Looking froward to the final part of Crinkley Bottom Hall tonight, and who will be out of Strictly?.

Chris. AKA lovetogarden, hope that helps -  The Ice Queen, by the way who are you I'm totally confused.

Is it a musical thingy, do your blow it, paper and comb, give us another clue

Geoff .. You can put any game meat in game pie, mine today has pheasant, partridge and venison, with carrot, onion, mushrooms and flavoured with juniper berries, thyme and bay, red wine and chicken stock.

What's the weather like in your area?

Nr Lincoln.

Beautiful cold day. No clouds in the sky. We had a severe frost overnight and it has blackened a lot of the plants that were hanging on.

Saw a robin skating on the pond a while ago. He had been down for a drink on the moving part of the water and then slid across the ice. He looked very funny.

Well, Good afternoon. Have I stepped into pantoland? Since I last visited everyone has changed their names and avatars, so it will take a bit to catch up with everyone's ID. Must look for something appropriate for myself.

I have been really busy over the past few days, visiting, shopping and doing the rounds.

Have managed to pick up a few bargains, ie 4- 60 ltr bags of Erin multipurpose compost for £10, used it last season and found it to be the best compost we tried.

Geoff, had to titter  (pardon the pun) at your latest cartoon.

Going to make a game pie for this evenings meal, practice run for a Christmas get together, smells alright so far, only got the meat and gravy made so far.

Now to find suitable id.

Catch you later.

Yes nobby's is a midlands  expression. I was brought up in Nottingham where they were always call nobby sprouts, or just nobs, I haven't heard it recently though as I moved to Lincolnshire when I got married.
