What's for tea?

Inkadog, - Thanks for that. Just like to ask, is 18% cream the same as our single cream and do you use tinned pumpkin? I have seen it in some supermarkets over here. I will download the recipe and try it.

For tonights tea we are having. Plaice, mashed potatoes, cauliflower and broad beans with parsley sauce.

Years ago there used to be knife sharpeners that came round the streets, they would sharpen scissors knives, etc. I suppose as we now  live in a throw away society, quite sad really, they're gone the same way as the rag and bone man.

My OH disappears into the garage with my secateurs and comes back with them lovely and sharpe. He has got some sort of stone that he used to sharpen everything, knives, shears, scissors,.lawnmower blades, if fact I daren't say anything is blunt.

I do both, cut some down that are in the way or just to tidy up but if they are doing no harm I  leave them. Mine have survived -18c 2 winters ago. and I have seedling popping up all over the garden. They do seem to seed in between crack and on gravel. I would leave the seed heads on this year and you will more or less guarantee seedlings next year.

A lot of my garden is fairly sheltered so perhaps that helps.

I have given them away to friends and relations and all from 1 original plant.

Rain first thing and very murky, but the sun has come out and it is a lot brighter, quite mild. Let's hope it lasts

Good morning all.

Ah, it's good to get that Bat Woman costume off, and get back to wearing something  normal.

Geoff.-- love the new avatar of Cody and does the C******* poster mean we can now talk about C*******.

We didn't get one caller last night so OH will have to eat the sweets, he will be pleased.

We have got to go and get some emulsion today, hopefully we will be finished by the weekend As my Mum used to say, It's easy to be mucky, but d....d hard work to be clean.
