I hate ironing but can't bare to see crumpled clothes, they never feel clean to me unless they have had an iron run over them. When our daughter was at home she used to iron the collar and cuffs of her blouses/shirts that she was wearing under a jumper. My husband is of the same opinion as Gary, can't see the point of it. As for Geoff comment, well, was that meant to provoke a response

I have just taken this pic of my Acer.

This one was taken on 9th October, what a difference a few days makes in the colour of the leaves.

What's the weather like in your area?

Nr Lincoln.

Hi folks.

Beautiful day here, sun's shining after a very wet night. The pond overflowed so we must have had quite a downpour.  The box says sunny/clear. That will do for me.

I lost then, by the way was there a prize?.

Good morning folks. Lovely sunny morning here, but don't mention water, we have had enough of the free stuff overnight, tippled down, pond overflowed. Hope yours is back to normal Becks.

Could do with IronMan myself this morning, just about to start on the pile. How are you fixed Geoff?

See you later, not literally, cyberly, but you know what I mean

Yes Gary I suppose it depends on the value of the item you have bought, makes sense. I didn't realise that they had your phone number, I wouldn't want them to leave something of any value.

We  ordered some sausage to be delivered. I used to have a bulk order  for friends and neighbours, but changed the delivery address as I had an urgent appointment, the butcher was informed, but the lady who did the delivery didn't read the delivery note and left the sausage in the greenhouse,  she was supposed to leave it with a friends down the road, and collect the money from her, luckily I was back before it had gone off.

Hi everyone.

A lot of talk about wind today

I've got a new telephone on order and it will be here between Thursday and Saturday by snail mail, recorded delivery. so will have to ask one of the neighbours to take it in if we go out. (Yes Gary, put a note on your door.I usually ask them to leave it in the greenhouse, if I know they don't want a signature, and remove the note when delivered). This is the second phone we have had to replace recently, getting quite costly. Everything seems to pack up at once.

Becks my guess is 10.24.

We don't have our groceries delivered, but the neighbour opposite does, sometimes it can be as late as 10pm. I wouldn't want to be sorting shopping out at that time of night.

Who's your money on for GBBO?

Had a good day in the garden, OH has trimmed back all the honeysuckle, jasmine and everything else that has gone completely mad, we have got a pile of material nearly as big as the bungalow. I've sorted out the patio containers and replanted with wallflowers and daffodils, really satisfying, swept up and generally had a tidy round.

Tea tonight is. Braising steak and onions. Cabbage, Carrots, Mash. Oranges in low cal Jelly to follow, trying to be good as we are out for 3 meals over the next few days..

Have a good evening,

Hi everyone.

Frank - I'll be round at about 1pm if that's ok with you, lunch sounds delicious.

Now for the weather, frosty start, but bright sunshine skies, in fact A1 for October.

I'm with you on the power issue Frank. Will the government stand up to the EU in 2015 and tell them what to do regarding our power supplies, I hope so, or they will have even more discontent. Can remember the 3 day week back in the 70's, not a happy time.

Have a good day everyone, make the most of the lovely weather.

Yes we love Nigel too, our late muched loved cat was called Ralph, and my daughters do is Henry.

Hope Nigel is back soon - perhaps MD will tell us this week what has been the trouble, hope it's not bad news.

Morning All.

FROSTY Brrrrr - here this morning, will be busy today getting tender plants undercover, if I'm not too late.

Thought SCD was a good show last night, Louis Smith had what I thought was a rather peculiar hairdo. I think he had had the lower part of his head shaved and the rest shaped? I thought it look very odd, but then perhaps that's the fashion good performance though. I have really warmed to Darcey, she gives good constructive advice. The music is excellent too.

Bruce was just as cringe making as usual, believe it or not he actually has someone to write for him. I'd change scriptwriter if I were him. As for who's going this week, I wouldn't like to say, maybe Johnny Ball, or Michael Vaughan, but they both try and are lovely competitors. Time will tell.

Have a good day cyber friends.
