What's the weather like in your area?

Hi again.

It's still sunny here, I saw on the weather at lunch time that the south west and southern counties generally are having a lot of rain. Just sorted out my pots of lilies, must stop buying then, up to 20 something now.

Pleased all's well Frank. you get used to seeing peoples postings, don't stay away too long.

What a good idea Flo! I've just been round the garden in between cleaning the bathroom, oh the joy of it, and deciding the next job. A few pic I took on my travels around the garden, as you can see I'm no David Bailey

The acer is just starting to turn red. Now I have decided that I will have a coffee too. OH is battling with the pond pump, it's pipe work had come adrift, not a happy bunny.

Morning everyone.

Crikey Becks, early morning entertainment!

Most of our neighbours are on holiday at the moment. Next door have gone on a cruise to New York and then up to Quebec, lucky blighters, the funny thing is unless they go on cruises they never come out of the house Others are in France, and across the road are on their narrow boat. It's great, very quiet.

I watched ITT last night, CRH was full of himself, and Jerry Hall was draped all over Anton, Louis Smith was lovely. I like Claudia, and her quirky way of presenting, Zoe hardly let anyone get a word in.

Plenty to do in the garden today, wallflowers to finish and lilies to clean up and treat with vine weevil killer, no rest for the wicked

It's been a mixed weather day today.

Misty damp morning, a bit grey, then we had a shower, then sun, now its turned overcast and chilly.

Hope its fine tomorrow so I can finish planting the wallflowers.

We are having sausages for tea tonight a la Tesco, nothing fancy here, just plain old pork bangers, might have a few oven chips and scrambled eggs. I sometimes steam my spuds that keeps them whole.

Pam, - Yes the Twist Baby tree does go yellow, in fact it is starting to change colour now. The branches are lovely in the winter, so you get interest all the year round.

Have been planting out wallflowers today, still more to go. We have grown them from seed this year as the ones you buy are usually pathetic, and we have got some lovely plants. I just love the scent, takes me back to my childhood when everyone seemed to grow them.

Daughter has return from  Portugal, and when she fetched her dog , Henry, back from the kennels he was not at all well. She has been to the vets with him today and he has got Dog Flu, and is on antibiotics.

Good Morning All,

This is a Robinia Pseudoacacia Twisty Baby that is in our front garden.

I had it in a pot for a few years, but it stop growing and look sick, so I popped it in the front of the house in a sunny position and it is growing quiet happily there.

Gary --As you say there is still a lot of colour in the garden at the moment. Loved your butterfly photo.

We got the cover for the caravan from under the leanto yesterday and disturbed 4 peacock butterflies that were hoping to hibernate there, hope they found somewhere else to go.

Hi Becks, Yes I am finding the site slow. It takes ages to go from one page to another, every other sites I use are ok.

When I click on latest post etc, the little green thing goes round and round and round and------- it's enough to make you dizzy. it seems to be at certain times of the day.

Hollie. the cat has obviously got a serious problem,mentally or physically. I don't envy you trying to decide what to do.. They can certainly do you a lot of damaged, as you have found out. We have always had a cat but have never had one that behaves like yours. Best of luck whatever you decide.

Oh Jean, poor old you. Have any easy day, hope you soon feel better.

Fancy seeing a goshawk, they are quite rare I understand. We have a few birds of prey in our area, kestrels, peregrine and now we have buzzards, but not goshawks, that I know of.I'm very envious,I love raptors. Red Kites have been spotted near Sleaford, which is about 25 miles from us, so they are slowly moving into the area.

SCD.    I think it's a good thing the judges are making the final decision on who will go, it's a lot fairer.
