Thanks for the Italian pud ideas, like the sound of them both, will have to consult other half, he's the one I have to please as he can be a bit picky. Daughters partner is trying to convince me that Blackberry and Apple crumble with custard is Italian, umm maybe if I slosh some amaretto into the custard I might get away with it.

We had roast dinner tonight as Waitrose had chickens on offer and I thought we could have hot today, cold tomorrow with jacket potatoes and salad (easy tea) and then soup, all that for £3. 50p

Nothing much on tv that I want to watch, might have a peek at Who do you think you are? Hubby has gone to a dominoes match with his mates, hope they win as they have had a losing streak, they take it very seriously,

Panetonne made into bread and butter pudding is delish with fresh cream. Roast chicken, roast potatoes, beans and cauli, followed by summer fruit in jelly for tea at number 32. I can't sing, so my daughter tells me, but would give it a go. Do we have to dress up? if so as what? Not frogs I hope, Paul Mc did the frogs chorus.

I need to make an Italian pudding for Saturday night, any ideas, but not tiramisu.I can't stand it.

Nr Lincoln.

Lovely day here after a cold star, bit breezy though, will dry the rest of the holiday washing.

Could do with some rain as the garden is very dry, we seem to have missed the showers.

Enjoy your day.

Sorry Kate, just realised you haven't watched Bake Off but I haven't given much away I hope.

I am just about to tackle a mountain of ironing. How can 2 people make so much washing!!

Good morning all.

It's freezing cold here too, heating definitely not coming on until 1st October! well that's the plan, just put on an extra layer, or run around a lot. My OH had taken to wearing his thick dressing gown on top of his clothes when watching tv, not a pretty sight, looks like a burgundy bear.

Everyone seems to be extra busy at the moment, plenty to do in the garden after being away for a week. I watched the Bake Off, didn't like the look of the bloody finger, some of the baking looked a bit dodgy as well., but enjoyed the show, only trouble is it makes you want to eat some cake.

Enjoy your day, don't work too hard.

Nr Lincoln.

Good morning everyone.

Good to be back from hols, enjoyable as it was.

Weather is somewhat cooler here today, but bright and breezy, just right for getting all the washing dry.

Garden in need of some serious TLC, things have gone over whilst we have been away. We have a lovely neighbour who waters for us, but they just don't know your garden like you do. Not that I'm complaining, if it wasn't for her kindness we wouldn't get away at all!.

Have a good day.

Hi everyone

I'm back from a weeks holiday in Herefordshire.  Lovely weather, but glad to be back home to my own lovely comfy bed tonight.!. Garden needs some tlc, piles of washing to do, it makes you wonder if it's worth it.

Had some rather interesting cream teas, one with green tomato jam, different but tasty, am now looking on t'internet for recipes as we have a few green tommies to use up.

Hope we are all refreshed, will catch up with everything tomorrow.

 Nr Lincoln.

Good morning everyone, beautiful day here again, sunny and getting very warm.

That beef sounds good to me Frank, just as I like it. No Sunday lunch for us today, had a late "fry up" as we are out to afternoon tea for Mums 99th birthday.. Will catch up with you all the week after next as we are going on holiday tomorrow.

Take care of yourselves in the meantime, don't do anything I wouldn't

Hi everyone. Lovely pic Gary, the bird has certainly got a good meal. I'm not so sure about the snail photo, great pic just don't like the subject! urgh I can't bare to touch slugs or snails. We must have a thrush or two about as I have found smashed snail shells, but not seen the birds.

Anyway up, as they say, had a nice day today. Called at SIL to collect goodies she brought us back from France. Wine, honey, fizz and the local speciality, Walnut CAKE!!!

Caught up on all the news, then came home to get dinner ready for this evening and bake some butterfly cakes and chocolate buns for my Mums birthday tomorrow.

You are all managing to keep us on page 1. Keep up the good work whilst the holidaymakers are away. I bet Becks and Jess are on the beach having an ice cream. I wonder if it's a lot hotter in Menorca than here, we have had a beautiful day.

Hi everyone.

A bit late with the report today as I have been visiting Sister and Brother-in-Law. They have just returned from France, so we had to go round and make sure the wine was ok.

Spent a few sunny hours in their garden soaking up the sun amongst other things..

Beautiful weather today, hot 25c slight breeze.

Frank I'm sure you and Alfy have a wonderful time together, he's obviously right at home.

Enjoy the rest of your day folks.
