Hi Frank and everyone, Yes I like to write correctly  it take me so long to decipher all the shortenings. I end up having to read it about 3 time to understand the meaning, I think it is definitely an age thing. We had to spell and punctuate correctly when I went to school in the distant past.

We are very serious today!

I have got a pan of tomato chutney on the go, so must away to see if it's OK( is it OK to use OK)

How's your foot today Frank?, hope you have to over the price of the fish

Nr Lincoln.

Quite warm here this morning, but clouds gathering ready for the next shower.

Typical bank holiday weather, OH just said there's a huge black cloud coming our way.

Good morning all. It's not a bad morning here, quite warm but the clouds are gathering. I saw the news about the veg being expensive this winter, makes sense really after the weather we have had, will have to stock the freezer with essentials, and trust to luck for the rest.

Becks, Jess will love Menorca, it's a lovely island. We have been several times, although not recently. Quite different to the other Spanish islands.

I thought the sweet peas in Monty's garden were lovely, and the army wives garden looked great, just shows what you can do with a few packets of seeds and some loving care. They obviously got a lot of pleasure out of it.

Have a nice day everyone.

Chris.

Bon Voyage Geoff, don't do anything I wouldn't, gives you plenty of scope.

how to get rid of

I've got about 15 pots of lilies and I check them most days and destroy any I find.I also water them with bug killer at about this time of year and spray to kill any larvae several times during the season. They are a pest but if you want the pleasure of lilies I'm afraid you have to be vigilant. I no longer grow them in the soil as I find it more difficult to control pests this way. They should flower again next year. I replenish the top 2 to 3 inches of compost with new material and every few years take the new little bulbsand replant for new lilies.

Hi everyone who are still up, I'm not going down south until mid September, I will be staying at home over the bank holiday (safest place) so will be here to chat.

Enjoy your holiday all that are going away, safe journey.

Lottie, Leggi's right, go to Heligan, it's magical, especially if you like veg gardens.

We went to the Eden Project about 2 years after it opened, and was a bit disappointed, but it must have matured by now.

We are looking for a caravan site in the Midhurst/ South Downs/Chicester area so if anyone knows of one I would be grateful for any info, and as you say, the price is quite high especially in the south.

Nr LINCOLN _ I thought it was a bit back-endish this morning, but the sun as got out and it's now a lovely morning, lets hope it stays that way. We had a torrential downpour yesterday evening so things look a little battered.

Hope your foot is soon better Frank, I understand it is very painful.
