Thank you fidgetbones, its the main stalk that has bolted so do I just chop it off. Will I still get the rhubarb this year?

Rhubarb and climber

Good evening everyone! I have 2 problems I need advice with.....

I have rhubarb which I planted last year and thoroughly enjoyed eating too, this year however it seems to have bolted, is this normal and what should I do??

My other question is on a choice of climber. I have just had a new patio area laid which gets the sun for most of the day. I would like to plant a climber to hide a wall that's a bit of a mess, it faces west with quite strong sun for part of the day which also has a window on it. The plant would need to go in a pot. What would you experts recommend for this?

Please help!!

Sweetpeas

Well they're all done and sitting pretty, after their trim on the windowsill. When's the best time to put them in the ground. I live in Mid Wales if that helps?

You're quite right Tina! I love it!!! poor house does get neglected from now onwards. Just popped in for a bacon sandwich and a cuppa then its back out for me. In the middle of potting up my toms, not sure if I'm a little early but they look a bit leggy so thought I'd give it a go....still very, very new to all this

Well I know its getting a little late to wish all you early birds a good morning but I've only just seen the thread....and what a great thread it is too! Love listening to what you're all up to. Been pretty busy myself planting and weeding and here in Wales the sun is shining lovely. Think I'll be making the most of it for most of the day. Now I've found you all I'll keep in touch!!

I planted Everlasting Sweetpeas early March which are still sitting on my indoor windowsill. They are doing well and are about 6/8" tall but spindley. Should I pinch the tops and if so how? They each have around 5 lots of 2 leaves. Any help gladly appreciated!

Hi Hollie hock, they are in the house at the mo. on the floor in front of a window, they are sharing a plastic tray with sweetpea?
