Is it normal for chickens to lay eggs out in the run?

odd behaviour??

Posted: 24/05/2012 at 12:41

Hi Guys,

Just been out to collect eggs, I have 4 chickens and got 4 eggs, started laying 2/3 weeks ago. 3 of the eggs was in the laying box as always but for the first time one was on the ground in the run?? never had this before. It is also smaller than the rest. When I let them out this morning they went straight to the water and spent ages drinking it and they were'nt quite as cheeky as normal, also one seems to be looking a lot fatter than the others, a bit puffed out??? is this normal or could there be something wrong?

Hi,

My tomato plants are doing quite well and are in pots, they are about 6/8" high with quite a few leaves. Do I put them into growbags now or do they have to flower first?
